We built rostersignup to hold less about your kid than the sign-up sheet on the gym wall. Here's exactly what we keep, and why.

What we store about a child: first name, last name, age or grade bracket, the program they're enrolled in, and whether a waiver was signed. That's it. We never ask for a birthdate (we use bracket dropdowns instead), a home address, a photo, a school name, or any free-text question about the child.

Medical and allergy info never touches our servers. If an organizer needs it, they collect it themselves, offline or through their own form — we just show parents a notice that this is happening.

Everything else is the parent's: contact info, address, and payment details belong to the registering parent's account, not the child. Payment is handled by Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.

How long we keep it: registration records are automatically deleted 90 days after a program ends. Signed waivers (name, signature, timestamp) are kept for 7 years in a separate, encrypted store, since that's what liability law typically requires — but a deleted registration is gone from your active roster either way.

Who's in charge of the data: the organizer's program is the data controller; rostersignup is the processor acting on their behalf. We don't sell data, run ads, or use tracking scripts on any registration page.

Custody & disputes:the parent who completes a registration is our customer of record for that registration. We don't adjudicate custody disputes or disclose one parent's registration to another parent.
