Terms of service
Who's who
rostersignup is a registration tool. An organizer runs a program and is responsible for it. A parent registers a child for that program. rostersignup connects the two and handles payment processing, waiver storage, and communication.
Data controller and processor
For registrant data (names, brackets, waivers, registration details), the organizer's organization is the data controller — they decide what the data is used for. rostersignup acts as the processor, storing and handling that data on the organizer's behalf and only as needed to run the registration, payment, and communication features described in this product.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. rostersignup charges a service fee ($1.00 plus 3% of the registration price, capped at $8.00) on paid registrations; this fee is separate from whatever the organizer charges for the program itself. Free programs are never charged a fee. Refunds are initiated by organizers and are subject to Stripe's processing times.
Custody and disputes
The parent who completes a registration is rostersignup's customer of record for that registration. rostersignup does not investigate or adjudicate custody or family disputes, and will not disclose one parent's registration, contact info, or account details to another parent or third party without a valid legal request.
Organizer responsibilities
Organizers are responsible for the accuracy of their program details, for responding to registered families, and for complying with applicable law in how they run their program, including anything handled outside rostersignup (like medical or allergy information).
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
